📌 Role Summary & Key Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you will develop software consistent with Cisco’s Design Thinking Principles, emphasizing simplicity, user privacy, and modern user experience (UX). You will work alongside design, product management, and engineering teams to solve real-world technology challenges.

🎯 What You’ll Do

• Code & Test: Write clean, maintainable code with guidance, and contribute to small features and bug fixes across the application lifecycle.
• Agile & SDLC: Gain hands-on exposure to Agile engineering methods including requirements analysis, code design, unit testing, and acceptance testing.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Assist senior engineers in identifying, debugging, and resolving software defects in both development and production environments.
• Secure Coding: Implement secure coding standards to ensure user privacy, reliability, and security across distributed systems.
• Documentation: Create clear technical design documentation for internal engineering teams and assist in writing user documentation for end users.
• Collaboration: Communicate project status, raise technical blockers, and share domain knowledge actively within your core team.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 0 years of professional experience (2025/2026 graduates eligible).
• Technical Knowledge: Exposure to fundamental computer science principles, core technologies, and programming paradigms acquired through coursework or internships.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in at least one core programming language (C++, Java, Python, or Go).
• Understanding of core Data Structures, Algorithms, Data Communications, and Operating Systems.
• Basic awareness of cloud infrastructure, networking protocols, or AI-driven systems.
