TCS NQT Result 2025 Update, After Result Full Process

Step 1: TCS NQT Result

After giving your TCS NQT (National Qualifier Test), you won’t immediately get the result on the same day. Usually, you’ll receive an email from TCS within a few days or weeks stating whether you’ve cleared the test or not.

  • The email might say something like “Congratulations, you’ve cleared the NQT round.”
  • Sometimes, you may not receive an email but your status on the TCS NextStep portal will change to something like: Application under process or Shortlisted.

Note : Keep checking your email inbox and spam folder regularly.

Step 2: Candidate Status (Shortlist/Next Steps)

Once you clear the exam, your application will move forward to the shortlisting stage. TCS checks your academic details, qualifications, and overall profile.

Your status on the TCS portal might change to:

  • Application shortlisted
  • Under review
  • Next steps in progress

This means TCS is now considering you for the next steps in hiring, like interviews or document checks.

Step 3: Document Verification

After shortlisting, TCS will ask you to submit scanned copies of some important documents:

  • 10th, 12th, and graduation mark sheets
  • Aadhar card/PAN card (as ID proof)
  • Offer letter (if you already got one)
  • Passport-size photo

You’ll be asked to upload these documents on their NextStep portal or via a separate email link. Make sure they are:

  • Clear, readable, and in PDF format
  • Not password protected

Step 4: Background Verification

Once your documents are verified, TCS will start background checks:

  • They check your educational qualifications (marks, degrees).
  • They might contact your college/university to confirm your academic record.
  • If you mentioned any internship or work experience, that may be verified too.
  • Your permanent address and ID proof will also be validated.

This process can take a few days to a couple of weeks.

Step 5: Offer Letter

This is the step you’re waiting for! After your background check is completed and everything looks good:

  • You’ll receive your official offer letter from TCS.
  • This will come via email and will also be available on the TCS NextStep portal.

The offer letter will contain:

  • Your job role and joining location
  • CTC (salary package)
  • Joining instructions and further onboarding steps

Final Advice:

  • Be patient: These steps take time.
  • Stay updated by logging into the TCS NextStep portal regularly.
  • Check email (and spam) every day.
  • Keep all documents scanned and ready in advance.
