Hey future Infoscians!
Many juniors have reached out to me recently about the Infosys Specialist Programmer interview process, so I decided to share my complete experience to help you prepare with confidence.

First of all – Congratulations!

If you’ve cleared Round 1 of HackWithInfy, you’re already off to a great start. Keep up the momentum for the upcoming rounds!

The technical interview was conducted offline at the Infosys office, Hyderabad, and it was thorough and intense. Here’s what it covered:

Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)

  • 3–4 coding questions
  • Topics: Arrays, Strings, Linked Lists, Trees, Graphs, Dynamic Programming
  • Difficulty: Medium to Hard

SQL Queries

  • 2–4 questions
  • Tested on joins, subqueries, group by, etc.

Core CS Subjects

  • Operating Systems
  • DBMS
  • Computer Networks
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Resume & OOPs Questions

  • Scenario-based questions on object-oriented concepts
  • Deep dive into internship and project experience

To crack this interview, I followed a structured and consistent plan:

🔹 Referred to previous Infosys interview experiences
🔹 Solved Infosys-tagged problems on LeetCode
🔹 Focused on key DSA concepts:
Recursion, Trees, Tries, Stacks, Queues, Strings, Bit Manipulation, Backtracking, and Dynamic Programming
🔹 Revised core CS subjects – OS, DBMS, SQL, CN, OOPs
🔹 Practiced writing clean, optimized code under time constraints
