Cvent Management Trainee Selection Process – Updated for 2025

Here’s the complete 6-step hiring flow including the Group Discussion (GD) round:


  • Submit resume via Cvent’s careers portal or campus placement cell.
  • Ensure keywords from the JD (CRM, communication, consulting, SaaS) are included.
  • Shortlisted candidates get a test link for CCAT.

  • 50 questions, 15 minutes (very time-bound)
  • Includes:
    • Verbal Reasoning (reading comp, grammar)
    • Numerical Aptitude (ratios, averages, percentages)
    • Logical Thinking (patterns, sequences, deductions)
    • Spatial Reasoning (shape rotation, visual puzzles)

For tech and non-tech streams:

  • 30–40 MCQs (general aptitude + logical + domain-based questions)
  • May include:
    • Email writing or situation-based writing test
    • For tech: Basic coding + CS questions (OS, DBMS, etc.)

Shortlisted candidates from tests enter GD round

  • Conducted virtually (Zoom or MS Teams) in small groups (6–10 candidates)
  • Duration: 15–20 minutes
  • Types of topics:
    • Abstract: “Success vs Happiness”, “Black or White”, “Numbers Rule the World”
    • Business/Tech: “AI in Event Management”, “Remote Work: Long-Term or Temporary?”
    • Social: “India @ 2047”, “Youth and Mental Health”

5. Personal Interviews (PI)

  • Resume discussion
  • Tools knowledge (Excel, Salesforce, CRMs, etc.)
  • Situational questions (e.g., how you’d handle client queries)
  • Mock demo or presentation sometimes asked
  • Standard HR: “Why Cvent?”, “Tell me about yourself”, “Relocation ok?”
  • Team-fit questions: Handling stress, multiple tasks, client expectations

  • Based on overall performance (test + GD + interviews)
  • Offer rolled out within 5–10 days via email


  • Listen actively – don’t interrupt others
  • Use real-world examples to back your points
  • Practice mock GDs with friends or online
  • Dress well, keep your camera on, and stay engaged in virtual rounds
  • Show confidence, not arrogance
